The media could not be loaded. Ted my budgie thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread.. He'll have an hour chewing and wrestling, then sleeps. But.. he wont let Remi the white budgie play on HIS mat. So there's a fair bit of squeaking and pecking.. iv put a video on of him when he lost one fight and had to let the Victor on.. so as it is a big cage, I'm having to order another!!! Tut.. kids!!!

The media could not be loaded. This is the second time I have purchased this seagrass bird activity mat for my 3 cheeky cockatiel boys. Initially it took them a few weeks to get used to it being in their cage and they completely ignored it. Then finally the most curious of the boys decided to check it out. Needless to say the other two tiels soon realised what they were missing and joined in. This mat has gone from being ignored to being the favourite toy. The mat itself is a really good size and there are plenty of brightly coloured bits and bobs for them to get their beaks into. That said as with all birds they do chew and so some of the items do end up being chewed off. I wouldn't think that this mat would be able to stand up to what a larger bird could do chewing / destruction wise for very long at all but for smaller birds such as cockatiels it seems to last a fairly decent length of time before needing to be replaced.

I ended up taking everything off it, using the seagrass mat as a mat on one of the levels of his cage and individually hanging each toy, it’s great!! But don’t expect all birds to be welcoming to a hulking great toy of this size in their cage, if they are fearful- don’t give up on it ! Just take it and use it as separate parts.
